Lakeland Terrier is looking for a forever home, from Watford Animal Rescue Center

Hello, I’m Ralph, a bright and energetic Lakeland Terrier. I am two years old and came from the pound at the National Animal Welfare Trust a month ago.

I’m a loving guy looking for an active home with someone experienced in reward based training. I was told I had tons of potential and would excel with someone who has the time, dedication and ability to focus on my training and teach me how to channel my mental and physical energy in activities such as scent, agility, hoop or trick training.

I can be reactive with other dogs so I need to wear a muzzle and be on a leash in public. Also, I’m not used to being left alone and can get stressed. My new human will have to understand that it can take several months to accumulate the time I have left for two hours.

I am looking for a house and garden with adults or a family with older children where I would be the only pet. I can jump very high – up to 6 feet! – so need a garden with a secure fence.

I would be a fabulous companion for someone looking for a whirlwind of love to train properly. I will reward these efforts many times over with love, enthusiasm and friendship.

Coming from the NAWT, I was medically examined by a veterinarian; vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and neutered; benefit from an individual training plan and four free weeks of Petplan insurance.
