Blue, # A501778, would like to show you how smart and sweet he is

Two-year-old Blue is playful, affectionate and looking for love. Blue, # A501778, likes to run around the playground and once he runs out of energy enjoys spending time with his favorite people and cuddling. Blue is an intelligent dog and already knows how to “sit” and “paw”. Blue needs slow introductions with cats, other dogs, and new people, so he would do best with an adopter who can let him go at his own pace.

The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spaying or neutering, microchipping, and age-appropriate vaccines.

New adopters will receive a free health and wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information on how to care for your pet.

View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment. Adoptions are by appointment only and new adoption appointments are available at 10 a.m. on Sundays and Wednesdays. Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone or email. pasadenahumane.org

True love? Fans of “The Princess Bride” will recognize him in Buttercup, a shy beauty available for adoption at Pasadena Humane. (Photo courtesy of Pasadena Humane)

Find true love with Buttercup #A500902

Four-year-old Buttercup came to our house as a stray with a litter of kittens. Now she is ready to live a comfortable indoor life. Buttercup is a bit shy at first and needs time to adjust to new people and surroundings, but once she does, her affectionate side begins to show. Buttercup likes to scratch her head and pet herself and purrs a lot when she gets attention. She even gives a little nudge when she wants more animals and learns to play with toys.

The adoption fee for cats is $100. All cat adoptions include neutering or neutering, microchipping, and age-appropriate vaccines.

A remarkable Siamese from Seal Point, Simon had a difficult start but remains affectionate. It’s a great combination of play and relaxation. Simon is available for adoption through Lifeline for Pets. (Photo courtesy of Lifeline for Pets)

Simon says, ‘Please save me’

Do you like the Siamese breed, with its stunning blue eyes? Or do you just want a big boy who enjoys the simple things in life – cuddling, petting, napping and lounging in front of a sunny window? Then Simon, 6 years old, is the cat for you. Yes, this big boy is playful, maybe catching up with the kitten he never had, being abandoned in the street at a very young age. He is very trusting of people and kind of like a big baby. He is FIV positive but does not need medication. His condition is manageable as long as he is kept indoors.

Simon would make a wonderful pet for almost any adult or perhaps with very sweet older children. He should be a single pet. Seal Point Siamese cats have very dark, almost black, seal brown points with a face mask, ears, tail, paws, nose leather, and paw pads all the same dark brown color. It is spectacular to behold and equally wonderful to love. Submit your application and bring Simon home.
